1. Wouldn’t keyboard covers trap hot air because it covers my keyboard?
– No it will not. Depending of course on the brand and the quality of your keyboard covers. There are keyboard covers that are made to be lightweight. This means that even if it’s on top of your keyboard it will still leave space for hot air to go through. In addition, these kinds of covers although they are silicone made do not stick on your device too much. It leaves enough space so the air can escape without jeopardizing the protective features of the cover.
2. Will keyboard covers only stick on my screen when I close my laptop adding more damage?
– Not likely. Again, this totally depends on the quality of the keyboard cover. Although keyboard covers are made from silicone, the top part or the surface you type on is made in such a way that it is not tacky. It should not feel like the cover is sticking on your fingers whenever you touch it. Because when it does that would defeat the purpose of the cover which is to ease your typing. It’s the bottom surface that has a little grip to it to make sure that you keyboard is protected from dust. So whenever you close your laptop your screen will be alright.
